Background
http://www.ehow.com/how_6315743_make-seamless-background-photoshop.html
So I kinda used this until I realized that this would not help me because I have a background that is only going in one direction. So I figured out that using a background that only goes one way would require me taking the right side of the image and reflecting it on the other side of the image. I blended it in to the background and tada... tiled one way background. The only problem is the css coding isn't working... Will be asking tomorrow about that...

60% Finished
The background is bigger than it will be on the website. The background will be fixed so it will be a regular window size while the text box will be very large. I just blew the background up so I could work with the rest of the layout.
I'm thinking that I may need to make the tree smaller...

Pictures For This Website
Pictures used from my bedroom.

Thumbnails
The first layout is a woman that is half in the water and half outside the water. I would take the photograph in a pool and have the model reaching outside the water. When I flip the picture in Photoshop she will look like she is coming out from the water but the water will be flipped upwards.
This layout is a representation of the tree of life that is described in the Bible. The tree is mentioned in the book of Revelations and this is the bible verse that goes with it.
"In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."Revelations 22:2
The layout is a simple mountain landscape with cartoon sheep grazing on a sunny day. Lambs are symbols used in the Bible frequently.
I wanted to have this layout be elongated. The kite will be at the top of the "fold" and there will be information above and below the "fold".
I have not decided if I want this layout to be a drawing or to be a picture edited. I want the woman to have the body of a lantern. The lantern is light that represents Christ. Since Christians are suppose to represent Christ on earth I wanted to put the light "within" her. An example of this idea is in Matthew 5:14:
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
And also Jesus speaking to people:
“I am the Light of the World. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
I worked on what the character design would be if I did this as a cartoon. The sketch is at school and I will gather it tomorrow to present.
I was playing around a bit with this one. I divided the information into two sections. One would allow text and the other would have imagery. It has a cut out of a dragonfly that would be placed on top of the layout. There would also be cut outs of different bugs on the sidebar that would be the links. I want the colors of this layout to be very bright and fun.
This layout shows a room with a book shelf, cat and windows.
A layout with a city inside a jar, on a table, is shown.
This layout has a bird that is diving under water. The links are air bubbles. I want the bird to be warm and bright colors while the sea to be cool blues and whites.
This design is one of my favorites. It would be a cross between a "garden" and the inside of a living room. The text box would have a wooden border representing furniture. There would be clouds in the "sky" which would have a wallpaper texture along with a mirror hanging on the side. There will also be flowers and a tree coming out of the furniture. A dove will rest on the text box while other creatures will be found around the piece. I thought of calling it Design Eden?
When I was working on this piece I was just going to make two roses coming out from the middle of the page. I drew the rose a little off and saw that it looked like the middle was a candle flame. So I decided that was a little more interesting. The links would be the thorns on the flowers.
The layout is a demonstration of the verse: "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." 2 Corinthians 4:7 The woman on the right would be a photograph that I would manipulate. Her skin would be cracked like clay. The links would be the holders on clay jars.
The layout is of a vector outline of a woman whose hair is curling on the left side of the layout. The links would be the circles under her hair.
A bird sitting on a window seal. His tail feathers flow throughout the layout.
The lamps are on a slanted wooden opening. The information is spread out in the middle of the page.
This is steam punk meets randomness I guess. It is suppose to be a girl waring a mask next to a bird that is waring the "same" mask. her clothes blend into the text block. The "speech bubble" behind them is actually a hole in the wall. The background will be a grungy building.
This is a layout that has a bunch of stuffed animals in the air with parachutes.
This design of this layout would be these letters (cleaned up a good bit) displayed across the upper "fold" of the website. Inside the word Design would be a collage of the work I have done.
