Creative Brief

Project Title:
Courtney Dusenbury : Graphic Designer
Background:
This will be a website that my work over the past few years. It will have graphic design work as well as outside art that I have done. (if appropriate)
Target Audience:
Short/Long Term Goal: My long term and short term are the same. I want to work for churches and missions in either print or web biased design. I guess the only difference between the two is that I may want to start out doing commissions and then later find an actual church/mission to work full time.
Objective:
I would like the website to represent the art avenues that I pursued in the last few years. This is not only graphic design but also photography, digital imaging, and some studio work.
The site needs to be reflective of not only me but also geared towards clients. I want it to be something that the church staff (target audience) will appeal to. However I do not want it to be something that I just slap a cross on and call it a day. It needs to reflect some thought and possibly be a bit vague. (I have not decided if I want the site to have some direct reference to Christianity or not)
Messaging:
The audience needs to be able to peruse through the site easily. It has to be well organized and have a simple navigation system. It should also have a way to contact me.
Deliverables:
I want my website to represent Christianity and also to simply be a work of art. I want the viewers to be taken in by the visuals. The design tone should consider these qualities: beauty, grace, conservative, warm/cool, innovative, and relaxing.

Timeline:
I need to work on thumbnails first. They should be finished around the end of this week. The other sections will be completed around a weekly basis. The web site should tentatively be done around November so that improvements can be made before the end of the semester.

Budget:
This web site will be pro bono.
